Some say that choosing a name for a company can be agonisingly difficult...
...but we thought about the market we're serving and our particular bit of it - the Useable Space in a server racking system, hence USystems and our business:
The design and manufacture of modular and scalable cabinets, racks and enclosures for 19 and 23 inch systems for the data communications and telecoms markets.
We were founded in 2003 and currently employ 45 people at our headquarters in Gamlingay, a large village some 50 miles (80 km) north west of London on the borders of Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, England.
Visitors are always very impressed that we design and manufacture practically everything ourselves - and that we run a 24/7 operation, with our automated presses producing frames and panels round the clock to match the flow of orders for our paint shop, assembly lines and dispatch bays.
One bit that visitors don't normally get to see is our R&D department, for our ideas and prototypes are kept under wraps until we're quite sure that new products and product enhancements are fully tested and proven.

Naturally, we are registered as meeting the quality manufacturing requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008. Our products comply with CE, SCC, CMC and RoHS standards and are UL listed.
We recycle well over 90 percent of all our waste and we are Carbon Trust accredited - the Carbon Trust provides specialist support to business and the public sector in the UK to help cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies.
